Marni Mondays: Oh My!

Look 12

Look 27

Look 34

Here are my selects from Moda Operandi's trunk show by Marni. There is a lot going on with each of these looks, but I just can't seem to be all that negative about them. In looking at the colors, prints and structures alone, the collection is gorgeous. That is one of the many reasons I've such a fan. Great attention to detail is always seen in each and every collection.  Personally, these looks are a bit much for me, somewhat overwhelming with the various lengths. The print on look 27 is stunning and would have loved to seen the dress a tiny bit shorter and a little more fitting to the body. That is based on my personal size and age. Curious to see what is pre-ordered from this sale which ends tomorrow. Happy Monday.

Marni Mondays: Lovesick

It's clear of my love for Marni, but after viewing the pre-fall 2014 collection on Moda Operandi it's at a whole new level. Did not even know that was possible. The tunic dresses are fantastic with such wicked shapes, not to mention fabulous prints. Now, there is a lot of fur being shown here, so let's get one thing clear I am not in favor of the material being used but rather the shape and style of the collars. These are just a couple of my favorites, but you must view the entire collection here. Have a great week!

Marni(e) Mondays: Red Carpet

Marnie (Allison Williams) from the HBO series Girls is being honored for todays post. There were many women who nailed the red carpet last night at the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards. It seemed too perfect that Williams wore and insanely beautiful patterned (top portion) gown by Alexander McQueen. Along with her onscreen name being Marnie. Double win. Not only is she gorgeous, but always appropriately dressed from top to bottom. Among my favorites from last are; Lupita Nyong (Ralph Lauren), Amy Adams (Valentino), Taylor Swift (Carolina Herrera), Olivia Wilde (Gucci), Cate Blanchett (Armani) and Caitlin FitzGerald (Emilia Wickstead).

Marni Mondays: Mini Marni

This little slice of heaven is way too adorable. I am almost attempted to purchase the largest size hoping it might fit. Maybe baby tees will come back soon. The neckline and trim are so bite size, along with the pocket. For those who dare are able to spend a penny or two on your kids clothing, do them a favor a dress the tykes up in Marni. This geometric top can be purchased at Barney's.
