I must be honest Valentine's Day has never really been my cup of tea. Yes, I am one of those who believe that you should love and shower your loved one with gifts all year long. The day always seems to make those single people feel "left out" and those in a relationship honored to have someone to spend the day with. For those without a valentine, enjoy your day, do something for yourself. Rent a movie and drink champagne, go for a hike, read that book that has been on your nightstand for months, go dancing with friends. For those of you with a valentine, enjoy your day together and remember all the other days you spend and will spend together. Today is dedicated to loving yourself. "Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world." - Lucille Ball
Going to the movies in the park during the summer is a true delight. Packing a picnic filled with your favorite treats and good wine makes it that much more enjoyable. These are a few of my go tos for movie night in the park. Have a lovely weekend.
My father and I spent a lovely day together this past weekend. After we had lunch and once I realized my father had been in the Apple store for close to 2 hours I decided to go for a stroll. Shortly after, I found myself waiting inline behind a group of teeny boppers at Forever 21. The pattern caught my attention, but the colorful pom-poms are what sold me. It's lightweight and colorful making this scarf a perfect accessory for the summer.
I love seeing the different ways people decorate their Easter Eggs. These watercolored eggs were created by Jenny and Teri from Spoon Fork Bacon. The color palate is perfect for this time of year. Happy Easter. How do you decorate your Easter Eggs?
My new obsession Luli Sanchez. There will be many more posts involving her work. Looking at Lourdes's work has my mind running thinking of everything you could do with each pattern. This print seemed fitting for today with its shades of green. Happy St. Patrick's day.
