Modern British Style

The Ham Yard hotel which opened in June is the most decadent candy to ones eye. This £90 million, three-quarter acre project which rests behind Picadilly Circcus is Kit and Tim Kemp's latest addition to the Firmdale Hotel Group's portfolio. Located perfectly between Mayfair and Soho this property has 91 individually designed rooms and suites. Kit Kemp designed the interiors herself blending patterns and textures to perfection. There must be a method to how and where each pattern is placed within a room. It's like a math equation. When I was about 21 years old a girlfriend and I went to London and stayed at the Knightsbridge  Hotel. The rooms were so lovely and the service was incredible. I expect the Ham Yard to be just that.

Villa Carola

I am thrilled to be planning my dear friends wedding. Not only has it been something I've been secretly itching to do, not surprising to some. The couple has decided on having a destination wedding in either Mexico, the Caribbean or Costa Rica. I've spent a lot of time throughout Mexico, but have not traveled to the Caribbean or Costa Rica. Spending nights researching has made this project a great geography lesson! The idea is to rent a villa/house for the bride and groom to stay at with some close friends. Family and additional guests will stay at near by hotels. Many logistics involved, but that is what I love. We are getting closer and closer to locking down a location. Once we can check that off the list the real fun begins. I'm giddy just thinking about. Above are some villa rentals I've been looking at through MayaLuxe. If you have any suggestions on destination weddings or any of the locations please let me know. I am looking forward to sharing my journey of a wedding planner with you. TGIF.

Take Me To Greece

Dear Future Homeowner,

This sophisticated 6 bedroom villa located in the exclusive area of Tourlos should not be overlooked. You could proudly call your home paradise. Styled with thick wood-beam ceilings, built-in sitting areas and large window frames. Panoramic views from the terrace looking out over the town and the Aegean Sea. I've been lucky enough to have traveled around the Greek Isles. I can firmly say Greece is exactly like what you see in books, calendars, movies, etc. The crystal blue water as the backdrop with white homes along the cliffside, it's breathtaking. Oh how I love Greece and all it has to offer. For more information on this home go to Christie's International Real Estate Signature Program

Yours truly,

A Grecian Lover

Love

Paris_2.jpg

I was lucky enough to spend the holidays overseas in England (pics to come) and Paris. Spending New Years Eve and my 30th birthday in Paris was a dream come true. Being there with someone you love during the holidays is extremely romantic. Sharing these types of moments with your best friend is what life is all about. When I was 16 years old my school took us on a trip to Europe and Paris was one of the stops. My experience was not the best and I never really had much interest in going back. This time around I am happy to say it might be one of my favorite cities in the world. The people could not have been any nicer. We were lucky enough to stay in Le Marais, thanks to Time & Place. Staying at hotels is amazing, but staying in an apartment is a completely different experience. An amazing one. Le Marais has wonderful bistros on every corner and lots of wonderful chic boutiques. For my birthday we had dinner at the top of the Centre Pompidu. So romantic with long stemmed roses everywhere and a view of the city. Can you say fairy tale? I highly suggest putting Paris on your bucket list and if you have been go back and try a different neighborhood. "When good Americans die, they go to Paris." - Oscar Wilde.

Picnic + Movie

1. Striped Beach Towel, Calypso

2. Rose, Zull Wines

3. Insulated Bottle, Marimekko

4. Confetti Dot Teaspoon Set, LEIF

Going to the movies in the park during the summer is a true delight. Packing a picnic filled with your favorite treats and good wine makes it that much more enjoyable. These are a few of my go tos for movie night in the park. Have a lovely weekend.

Cobá

Here are some snap shots from my excursion to Cobá. One of my best memories was climbing to the top of the Nohoch Muul temple {the tallest pyramid of the state}.  A feeling of empowerment came over me, being able to take a moment and look beyond the tree tops. As cliche as it may sound, for a split second I felt on top of the world. Can't even imagine what it would be like climbing Mount Everest. A special thanks to our guide Pablo, with Alltournative. {Shorts: Madewell; Top: Hard Tail}
